For this saturday the AECO had organized us a City Tour. There were three buses for us exchange students. Of course I was on the number 1 bus, the VIP bus;)

The tour was nice. Some of the places I had already visited but it still was a nice way to spend the saturday evening. Oh and it was nice to listen to the local tour guide who was explaining all the sights and telling about the general life in HK. Our first stop was in front of the Convention Centre. There is this Golden Bauhinia Square which is quite important for the locals as it represents the return of the former British colony to the People's Republic of China. The flower, bauhinia, is Hong Kong's city flower. You can find it also from the flag of HK. From the harbour you can also get a good view of the Kowloon Peninsula.

Next stop was in Aberdeen harbour. Aberdeen is a busy harbour and there is also located the world's biggest floating restaurant, called the Jumbo. The boats there are mostly fishing boats and lot of people live in the boats also.

After Aberdeen we went to Stanley. Stanley is a nice looking town and the biggest tourist attraction there is the Stanley Market. We walked through the market but we were more interested in the harbour and it's views.

Last stop was at the Peak. The weather was quite bad there. I had better views when I went there on my first week. But on the way to the peak there was nice views from the mountain roads. All in all it was a nice trip and it was nice to meet some new exchange students.
